Libraries need a better way to handle holds for patrons who get items delivered to them at home or at schools, senior centers, etc. There’s a Holds Behind Desk option in the patron record that can show an alert when an item is scanned, but it doesn’t print on the holds slip, and doesn’t provide specific information.
We would like to use a patron statistical category for this information, but need a way to add it to the Hold Slip. The patron statistical category can have a custom list of messages: Deliver to Senior Center; Put items on Fred’s Desk, etc.
